GPT-5.3 Instant Mini is now the default fallback model in ChatGPT for everyday conversations, offering more natural dialogue, stronger contextual writing, and better awareness of prior conversation turns.
New Pro Plan at $100/mo sits between Plus ($20) and the enterprise tier. It includes increased GPT-5 message limits, expanded Codex access, and priority throughput during peak hours.
Codex restructuring: Pro users get dedicated Codex capacity for code generation and repository-level tasks, while Plus users share a pool. The change reflects OpenAI's push to monetize its developer tools more aggressively.
For heavy API users and developers, the Pro plan is competitive. For casual professionals, Plus remains the better value.
